Choosing the Right
Insurance Agent
By: Jason Cunningham
In day of age, the insurance agent can have
numerous titles. Your insurance agent may be a financial planner, CFP, financial
representative, bank manager, etc. You have so many options how do you choose.
While many of us use the same agent mom and dad used, often it is a referral
from a friend or relative. You know the call, "hello Ms. Smith this is Ben
Miller from XYZ Insurance Company, the reason I am calling you, your
friend Carol Murphy said you might be someone who needs to review your insurance
program, are mornings or afternoons better for you." Does this sound familiar?
It is reality in which we live, but today you will receive inside tips on how
to recognize a good agent.
-
Does the person seem calm? (If not they maybe on their way
to big-time client's house or have them coming to their office)
-
Does the person talk really fast? (Probably just a
salesperson.)
-
Does the person listen well? ( If yes this could be your
insurance agent for life.)
-
Does the person seem interested in what you think?
-
Does the agent takes the time explain your insurance
options.
-
Do I feel like I know my agent?
-
Does the person remember my name before and after our
initial meeting? (This is Key)
