I would have never expected NC State's Mario Williams to be drafted ahead of USC's Reggie Bush or Texas' Vince Young. Honestly, I dumbfounded that the Houston Texans would pass Bush over; however, there could be something the public does not know.

I am not sold on Mario Williams. Yes, I expected him to be a top 5 pick, but never number one overall, in this NFL Draft. In his defense, he is considerably fast and in the mold of the Indianapolis Colts' Dwight Freeney. However, I do not believe that he has the same work ethic, as Freeney on the gridiron.

In a few years, we will realize that the Texans have wasted a pick. I see Williams as a pass rusher specialist in the NFL. He might be very tall and a physical specimen, yet he does not impress me against the run. You will see what I mean this fall. Mario Williams is a better pick than USC's Matt Leinart.
