Money does not Grow on Trees Children
By: Jason Cunningham
Everyone just about on this planet has heard
the words "money does not grow on trees." It is true in the literal sense, when
it comes to our paychecks. Those of us who go to work, understand that you have
to work hard for your money. Usually when a company realizes that you are
earning money without much effort, you get the axe.
Children need to know these struggles that we
encounter on a daily basis. They want cell phones, their own phone lines, brand
new cars, my reply you don't work. Save your money, whether it is from birthdays
or graduations. Making money is not an effortless activity. I work two jobs,
this one running Financial Shopping Network and my day job. When I go to bed at
night, there is nothing left in the tank. Too often children see all the glamour
and fame, but do not see the sacrifice, the sweat, and tears that go into
achieving your goals.
Now it should be said that money should not
be worshipped. It should be used as a tool to sustain one's self, provide for
emergencies, and to help others in need. I am truly bothered by attitudes that
some teenagers exhibit towards material things. It appears to me that young
people in some ways are so impressed with material things, that they aren't
interested in the story behind what they see.
The money is not usually going to fall in
your lap, don't be discouraged in life when you don't make what you think you
are worth. You must endure and challenge yourself, then you truly understand
that "money does not grow on trees."
