The majority of insurance
agents almost frown at the word Supplemental Health Insurance with the exception
of Dental Insurance and Medicare Supplemental Insurance. On average, employers
are offering less employee benefits, as a result of increasing healthcare costs.
Maybe it is time to take another look at the Supplemental Health Insurance
market.
The words Cancer Insurance,
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, or Travel Health Insurance are
sometimes referred to as ancillary insurance products. Unfortunately, since the majority of insurance
professionals spend little time educating themselves on these particular
insurance products, the majority of our clients also remain ignorant about their
needs for them.
Supplemental Health Insurance
is not just for employees who work for small companies that generally lack a
full scale group health insurance program. How many of your clients travel on
planes or by commercial bus? This is something you should consider before your
next client meeting.
